Too often, we make huge plans and major resolutions, and we get burned out when we can't keep them. When we make small, manageable, incremental changes they really add up. When we guard our words, make our thoughts obedient to Christ, and cultivate new actions, we can see long term life change.

Each book of the Bible has two purposes/intents. First, what is it’s intended purpose – what meaning did it have for its immediate audience/recipients? Second, it had an “extended” intent—what does it mean to us today? Today we revisit Zechariah to learn of his intent and to see what lessons we can learn from this important Old Testament prophet.

Welcome to 2020! Not only are we starting a new year, we are also starting a new decade. For many of us we view a new year as a new beginning and an opportunity to examine our lives and determine some things we would like to change. Maybe we want to be a kinder person. Perhaps we want to lose some weight. Maybe we want to get our finances in order. For many of us, our goals are noble, but many times we fail. Why is this? Many times we fail because our process is too big. Today, we will examine why the small things give us the most potential for a big difference.
