The Christmas season is upon us. This year, on Sunday December 15th, we will have one combined service at 10:30 A.M. with our choir presenting Mary Did You Know? That simple question is going to drive our discussion each Sunday morning through the month. Make plans to join us as we discover the baby boy who came to bring hope and peace to our world.

Ever get depressed after Christmas? After two holidays it is hard to get motivated to go back to work. The big event we planned for and looked forward to is over and now we have that let-down feeling. That’s why nobody ever volunteers to take down the Christmas tree. Today as we come down from Holiday Mountain, I share with you 3 keys to help us cope when we feel down or depressed.

Nine months. That is the amount of time Mary has had to think and ponder. What did she know? What didn’t she know? She has information from the angelic visits to her, Joseph, Zechariah, and the shepherds. But more than that, the scriptures are full of information. This morning, we are going to look through the Old Testament at the information Mary had, and determine the type of hope she held in her arms.
Luke 2:16-19
Today we present a joyous message of hope tilted Mary Did You Know? Our theme is crafted around perhaps one of the most dramatic and inspired songs ever written for the Christmas season. We will ponder the Christmas story, just like Mary did the night the shepherds visited. And, we will treasure all that Jesus came to do in the life that He lived.

If we had to choose one word to describe the Christmas season, we could argue a good choice would be the word “fun.” From singing Christmas carols, to making Christmas cookies, to watching children’s Christmas plays, to sitting around the living room opening presents, Christmas is a lot of fun. And the reason we can have all this fun is the birth of Jesus. Today we will follow the story of Mary as we unveil the joy and hope in the fun of this season.
